Ryan has over 20 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and building out one of the largest vertically integrated real estate platforms in the Country as founder and CEO of Madison Capital Group, LLC.

Back Nine was set up as The Hanks family office arm with a focus on investing in real estate, private equity, and operating companies. On top of his entrepreneur spirit, Ryan has a passion for sports collectibles and the golf industry.

Ryan is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Tiger 21, and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Ryan is the founder of High Grove, designed by Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner located in Venus, FL.

Erica’s background includes 20 years in the luxury concierge space serving discerning private clientele. Her years in fashion shaped an equally refined understanding of people, discretion, and an elevated approach for high-net-worth clients, which carries into the level of service and care provided to Back Nine Equity.

Adam Smith serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Back Nine Equity, where he leads the company’s accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance across all business lines.

With extensive experience in real estate finance and accounting, Adam plays a key role in supporting the firm’s strategic growth initiatives and financial operations. His leadership is instrumental in driving efficiency and strengthening financial processes as Back Nine Equity expands its presence.

Prior to his appointment as CFO for Back Nine Equity, Adam served as Managing Director of Development Accounting overseeing the financial strategy, budgeting, and compliance for the firm’s real estate and capital projects. Adam managed the lifecycle of development financials—from acquisition and construction draws to the stabilization and transition of assets into an operational portfolio. He also held senior roles at Greystar and Brookfield Asset Management, where he led accounting for over $1 billion in active development projects and funds.
